Kent City Council meetings are broadcast live on the Internet. Check the schedule of City Council meetings for broadcast times.
The Kent City Council meets on the first and third Tuesday of each month at 7:00 pm, except December. In December, the Kent City Council meets on the second Tuesday of the month at 7:00 p.m. The public is welcome and encouraged to participate in the meeting.
Council Committees are composed of three Council members. The Committees meet regularly, and the Council is best able to address the concerns of constituents during these meetings. Recommendations are then taken to the full Council, and action is taken at a City Council meeting.
There are seven Kent City Council members; they are elected to four-year terms. Their terms are staggered, with elections held every odd-numbered year.
